ME/CFS (aka Chronic Fatigue Syndrome)
ME is a little understood, multi-systemic, neurological life altering, biological illness. Even those mildly affected are very debilitated. With no known cure, and no proven treatment, symptom management is extremely important. The severity and all encompassing nature of symptoms means that many sufferers find themselves isolated.

POSTURAL ORTHOSTATIC TACHYCARDIA SYNDROME
POTS is an abnormal response of the autonomic system. It is characterised by an abnormally large increase in heart rate, when the sufferer goes from lying down to being upright. It is often misunderstood how life changing and restricting this condition is. Although there is some treatment for POTS, it helps to stabilise sufferers, there is not a cure as yet.
Lyme Disease (aka Lyme Borreliosis) is transmitted to humans through tick bites from infected ticks. At present Lyme testing in the UK is not fully reliable, and a negative test result does not mean you do not have Lyme Disease. Lyme affects the whole body, and is incredibly debilitating. If diagnosed early enough, Lyme can be treated with antibiotics. For chronic Lyme sufferers, antibiotics and other suppliments may help, but there is no proven cure or treatment.
